Latest addition to Unknown Precept’s roster is Sendai’s newcomer King Rambo Sound, ultimately making his way to the European audience by becoming the fifth installment in our tape series. Member of the far-off Aoba Nu Noise DJs collective back in Japan, Atsushi Akama’s boiling technique feels genuinely agitated and does not get embarrassed by exaggerated narratives. Instead, the Japanese producer has been following some uninhibited empirical approach with Karma. Bending out of shape furious live jams running out of breath on epileptic rhythms, Akama always manages to be as minimalist and unadorned as possible. Capturing what makes the true strength of rhythmic noise and contemporary techno music. Layering a jumble of styles battered with intense snare strokes and overstrung bass lines prior to crashing abruptly into the wall. Leaving nothing but a sour taste and smell of molten steel and burnt samplers.
